The control treatment was factored into the design of a follow-on study involving ~4000 clones at PVP. It is important to note that the PVP facility has been using the control treatment for quite some time and the results from the studyshows that there is tremendous opportunity to improve PVP baseline production performance. For all parameters studied, the POR control treatment did not come out first of the six treatments applied. Of the six treatments, the company’s RMD chemistry was the fastest to “first root” and had the highest overall dry weight per plant post-harvest. The six nutrient treatment conditions used involved individual and combinations of the company’s RMD chemistry, an algae-based treatment, an ozone water-based treatment, as well as the process of record (POR) production nutrient method involving commercial chemistries. The primary goal of the study was to allow for increased time during the plant “Veg” conditions to enable increased production biomass yield at PVP post-harvest and reduce overall cultivation production cycle times. The experiment was co-designed by the principal investigators to evaluate which nutrient treatment method could potentially “first root” (first visible rooting outside of the clone media ) and “fully root” (sufficient visible roots to allow for successful transplant to the vegetative stage “Veg”) the fastest. Thirteen replica clones of each unique treatment condition and strain were processed to aid in achieving statistical significance. In a time-paired experiment six different nutrient treatment conditions were applied during the cloning process. The study was done at Pecos Valley Production (PVP, a commercial cannabis cultivation and harvesting company in southern New Mexico). In the study, approximately 500 clones were grown from five different strains of cannabis “mother” plants. Five different nutrient treatments were evaluated along with a control group. This paper provides results from a study of the effects from different nutrient treatments used during the cloning process of a cannabis plant.

Specialists in obstetrics perform 4D ultrasound scans. Which specialist performs a 4D ultrasound scan? The scan is completely safe as it uses sound waves to look inside the body, rather than penetrating forms of radiation, such as those used in X-rays. Ultrasound is a totally painless non-invasive imaging technique, both for the mother and baby. How does it feel during a 4D ultrasound scan? At this stage, the baby is fairly well-developed, but has not yet grown so large that it cannot be seen well on the scan. The best time for a 4D ultrasound scan is usually between weeks twenty four and thirty of pregnancy. The estimated weight can also be established as well as the levels of amniotic fluid, giving a vital assessment about the health of the pregnancy. They also allow the healthcare practitioner to observe if the foetus’ organs are developing well and if any birth defects, such as cleft palate, are present. Importantly, however, 4D ultrasound scans are primarily a medical test, where a qualified specialist can advise on your baby’s health and development. What can be seen on a 4D ultrasound scan?Ī 4D ultrasound scan can give information about a baby’s development, including size, heart rate and gender, as well as allowing parents to see their baby in detail and give reassurance that all is well.ĭuring the scan, it is possible to see the baby in real time and perhaps smile, yawn, or open and close their eyes, for example. This makes it easier for doctors to diagnose any developmental problems, such as a cleft lip, which may be harder to spot on a standard 2D ultrasound. The advantage of 4D ultrasound is that in showing the developing baby in three dimensions and in motion, it is much easier to see the baby clearly. Ultrasound scans are very important for many parents, since they not only serve to monitor the development of the baby, but also to show the first images of the foetus, which can be retained as a memory or souvenir. What is the aim of 4D ultrasound scanning? When this 3D image is refreshed in real time, it results in a live video known as a 4D ultrasound. Traditional ultrasound scans produce a flat 2D image, but modern technology can combine data from scans taken by the probe from different angles to create a 3D image. How do 4D ultrasound scans differ from more traditional scanning? The doctor administers a small amount of cold gel on the belly of the pregnant woman, and uses a probe to capture the images of the uterus and project them on a screen. These sound waves are emitted by a probe or transducer, which is passed over the region to be scanned by the doctor.ĭuring pregnancy, this test is performed to observe the status and development of the foetus without exposing it to radiation. As well as providing a high-quality image of the foetus, 4D ultrasound can be used for diagnostic imaging, allowing a healthcare specialist to observe the body's structures and tissues.ĭuring pregnancy, 3D ultrasound allows you to see three-dimensional images of your baby in the womb (as opposed to the traditional 2D images), while with 4D technology the image is constantly updated in real time and you can see it moving in the form of a video.ĤD ultrasound, like other ultrasound scans, uses high-frequency sound waves to generate images of organs and tissues inside the body. Ultrasound is an imaging technique which allows a foetus to be observed in real time in the womb. Edited by: Conor Lynch What is 4D ultrasound? Their lack of customer support is very suspicious and certainly raises a few legal red flags. I will never recommend or give a positive review of Malware Bytes to anyone. So here I am out about 85 bucks with no useable product. I ended up contacting my credit card company and had two of the three subscription charges reversed, The problem is I can no longer use the subscription I paid for because I do not have the initialization code to activate it. I left three messages about one week apart and have not received a single reply. I was able to find a site where I could send them a message about this problem. There is no way to communicate with their customer service, so I am guessing that Malware Bytes does not have one. To make a long story short I tried to add a second license and ended up being charged for three new subscriptions for my machine and no extra license. The user interface for doing so is poorly written and not easily understandable. I wanted to add a license for my wife's computer. I had a working Malware Bytes subscription. There are some arguments as to how many modes that Vim has, but the modes you're most likely to use are command mode and insert mode. If you're interested in giving Vim a shot, the following is a basic explanation of Vim modes and a list of frequently used Vim commands, along with a definition of what they do. The editor allows you to edit text in multiple windows, which can be helpful to programmers and editors alike. This text editor is particularly well-suited for people who are programmers, coders, system administrators or individuals looking for a streamlined way to edit text. The image below shows an exampe of what a css file looks like when viewed using Vim. That said, many people who have started using it and become comfortable with it won't even consider another editor. Vim isn't for everyone, and it requires you to learn a variety of Vim editor commands to get the most out of it. The idea behind having a modal text editor is that it allows you to write and edit text, including code, without requiring your hands leave the keyboard. To open a file using Vim you can use the following command (simply replace filename.css with your actual file name). If you play video games that use the left-hand keys on the keyboard to move your character around, this concept is probably familiar to you. However, if you switch to command mode, the letters on your keyboard will allow you use Vim commands to move within the text. A modal editor is one that allows you to edit text in different modes, and in the case of Vim, the mode determines what the alphanumeric keys on your keyboard do and how Vim editor commands work.įor example, in insert mode, your keyboard behaves normally, so what you type in is what you see, just like with a standard text editor. While you may be familiar with the concept of a text editor, the modal part may throw you. While it was designed with Unix in mind, versions of it are available for most operating systems and Vim is also available for Android and iOS smartphones. Available both as a command line interface and as a standalone program with a GUI, Vim is a text editor that is a modal version of the vi editor created for Unix in the 1970s Vim stands for vi improved. vimrc or gvimrc.Vim was made available in 1991 and is a free, open source software. Continue this process with the “M” and “S” petals, and finish the rose by gluing on the center. Add the next row of petals, the “L” petals, in-between the first. To assemble the flower, add a little hot glue to the bottom of the “XL” petals, and stick them around the cardboard circle. Curl one edge back, the other forward, and attach the cone in the middle. Now, glue the inwardly curled edges of the petals to the cone, forming a spiral. Glue the two remaining centers together at a 90-degree angle. Curl the second petal outwards and glue it to the cone. Working with one rose center, curl both ends of one petal inwards and glue them into a cone. The handle of a wooden spoon works well for this. Curl back the top edges of the “XL” and “L” petals. For the “M” and “S” petals, curl one edge forward and the other back. Be careful when handling the glue, it can be quite hot. Cut a small slit into the middle at the bottom of each petal. You need five of each “XL”, “L”, “M” and “S” petals, as well as 3 rose centers. Lightly trace each template with a pencil and cut out the petals and center. Print out the template and cut out the four petal shapes and the rose center. If you want to hang the rose, make a small slit near the top of the circle and insert a piece of ribbon.
